Dr. Kim is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology. His research primarily focuses on the representation of affective states in the brain in multiple perspectives such as behavior, psychophysiology, and fMRI. Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of South Carolina. His dissertation investigated the modality-specificity of affect in the brain using visual and auditory stimuli. He is currently involved in projects of multimodal integration of affect. In this project, we are looking at how congruency and attentional focus play a role in cross-modal representation of affective states.
