Capt (Dr.) Ryan Landoll currently serves as the Chief of the Behavioral Health Optimization Program at the 20th Medical Group, Shaw AFB, where he serves as one of three project leads for a study of the expansion of integrated primary care behavioral health services across 72 Air Force military treatment facilities. He has held several positions within the United States Air Force, including serving as the Chief, Mental Health Clinic at the 20th Medical Group and as the Behavioral Health Consultant, Craig Joint Theater Hospital, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.
Dr. Landoll received his Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in 2012 and received the department's prestigious Kirk R. Danhour award for overall excellence as a graduate student. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Virginia and an Expert Trainer for the Air Force's Behavioral Health Optimization Program in primary care settings, as well as a certified Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape (SERE) psychologist. His research focuses on the interplay between adolescent peer relationships (e.g., best friendships, romantic relationships, peer crowds and peer victimization, including cyber victimization) and their impact on adolescent internalizing disorders.
