Brittany received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2008 and is currently a doctoral student in the Clinical-Community Psychology program. Her research interests broadly include positive youth development, the impact of organized activity dropout on adolescent adjustment, organizational readiness, health improvement, and program implementation and evaluation. Working with Dr. Nicole Zarrett, Brittany’s current research focuses on after-school programs as a context for implementing interventions to increases physical activity by target socio-contextual factors influencing youth. She is particularly interested in how the assessment of staff readiness for the intervention can inform tailored training and support sustainability of the intervention.
